I was using the NVA6100. It was working OK. But after I upgraded my computer from windows 7 32 bits to 64 bits. It is not working now.
I didn’t encounter any error message while installing the software, and the COM port looks ok.
When I tried to use RadarScope. I could not connect to the COM Port.

The error message was as follows. Can someone help?

    Thank you!

    Hi nameko,

Seems like a driver problem, download and install drivers from FTDI: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

You might need to uninstall old drivers first:
    1. Device manager -> View -> Show hidden devices
    2. Expand Ports
    3. Uninstall USB Serial Port and FTDI devices

    Hi Olav

Thank you for your reply. After removing the old driver and reconnecting NVA6100, Windows 7 automatically installed the device driver. It is called Bossa program port:

I still could not connect to the COM port:

I downloaded the device driver from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
as you suggested and selected ftdiport.inf to install the new device driver. The driver name became USB Serial port:

The RadarScope still could not be connetted to the COM port. The error messages are as follows. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!

    Nameko,

Can you confirm which hardware module you are using?

    Hi Olav

I am using Novelda R641 Development Kit.
The kit uses Atmel microcontroller (AT91SAM7) as a communications hub between the radar chip’s SPI and the host computer through USB. It looks like following photo.
