How many sensors required to cover room?

    Hi,

I don’t have room measurements, but I am trying to get a rough idea as to how many radar sensors would need to be used to cover a room, placement of the radar would be on the ceiling, centered.

The reason I don’t have measurements is that the rooms are all different sizes.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hi usensit,
I think the helpful information might be the shape of antenna coverage area, which looks like a balloon. X4M300 datasheet has an explanation about detection range in section 4.4. The detection range could be adjusted during sensor initialization. For your open questions, I would suggest you use sensors to cover the critical area of one room according to its size and shape.

It would be better if you can mount the sensor on the wall and point it to the floor, like the way we mount monitoring camera. This will give a bigger coverage area.
