Errors with Setting Noisemap Control

    I am trying to test presence detection on an X4M300 without the noise map for a faster initialization on startup, but am getting errors when attempting to disable the noise map:

    >> radar.set_noisemap_control(XTID_NOISEMAP_CONTROL_DISABLE)
    >> RuntimeError: set_noisemap_control: module reponded with XTS_SPR_ERROR

    This operation also fails when trying trying to call set_noisemap_control() without XTID_NOISEMAP_CONTROL_ADAPTIVE. I am using the Python3 version of moduleconnector.

    I'm simply modifying one line (57) in the X4M300 example for Python 3.

    What is the gain of time on the sensor initialization duration without noise map enable (or with noise map disable) ?

    Hi Nsangou,
    Normal initalization time is ~2 min
    without noismap genaration ~20 sec

    Many thanks. Initialization process is 5 times faster ! But unfortunately, in the real world, we have to deal with noise.

    That is true Chouaibou. However, if you use a previously stored noisemap and keep the sensor in the same position you can still save time by using the stored noisemap, without to much noise.
