Hello. I have recently acquired a X4M300 Presence censor with a EX4C01 wifi unit and I would like to know how possible is the following scenario:

I am interested in tracking multiple people within the range of the sensor.

X4M300 can report the distance of the closest target. It can detect a distance up to 9.4m, so it should be able to cover the two rooms on your picture.

Hey that sounds good. However can it discriminate on amount of people in the room? For example if I have a person in each room as shown on the image? Can the sensor see there are two different persons in the radius of the sensor?

No, its firmware does not support this by far, but it can distinguish people at different distances in theory.

    Hi,
You cannot get 360° coverage with a single X4M300 module, due to the antennas radiation patterns.

Ah I see. So I would need to place the sensor at one end of the room and detect distances.
