Novelda launches kits to accelerate application development with its SoC devices
We are proud to announce our collaboration with Flat Earth to provide customers the opportunity to have first-hand experience with Novelda's System-On-Chip (SoC) devices. As part of this launch, two new Chips & Salsa development kits will be available for purchase, the Ancho and the Cayenne kits.
These kits are the ideal platform for customers seeking full control of the radar, access to raw radar data and for those who want to make their own firmware using XeThru modules. With these kits, customers can easily experiment, set up prototypes and install small volume pilot products with both the XeThru X1 and X2 System-On-Chip (SoC) devices.
Built on a BeagleBone Black platform, the kits come with fixtures, radar capes, antenna capes and offer full fexibility in development and deployment. They provide real-time radar viewer through Salsa Scope and support Python, Matlab, Eclipse, C, C++ and Linux, as well as all of Novelda’s XeThru SoCs and modules.
Salsa Ancho kit:
The Salsa Ancho radar module is a BeagleBone Black compatible cape based on the XeThru X2 (4.5 to 9.5 GHz) radar technology. The Ancho module is suitable for ranging, tracking, sensing and positioning applications. Ancho applications include building automation, health care, industrial machine control and proximity sensing. Radar applications can be written for the Ancho using the Salsa software suite that comes with each kit. Visit the kit page for a full list of kit contents, specs and what is included in the software suite.

Salsa Cayenne kit:
The Salsa Cayenne radar module is a BeagleBone Black compatible cape based on the XeThru X1 (1 to 7 GHz) radar technology. The Cayenne module is suitable for ranging, tracking, and positioning applications where the environment can be demanding and penetration capability is essential. Cayenne applications include environmental monitoring, ground penetrating radar, industrial machine control and proximity sensing. Radar applications can be written for the Cayenne using the Salsa software suite that comes with each kit. Visit the kit page for a full list of kit contents, specs and what is included in the software suite.
